Dead space 2 review gamespot9/18/2023 ![]() ![]() The seccond film James Cameron chose to invent a new alien type called the warrior which is smaller, faster far easier to damage and prefairs swarm rush tactics rather than sneeking about and laying ambushes. ![]() The Station in this game likley use low velocity bullets so not to punch holes in the station. No where in Alien 1 do they kill it with a shotgun or 9mm, if they did they would all freeze and suffocate or be sucked into space. The ending however is likely the worst issue, all game xenomorphs wanna just straight up kill you but then one of them goes happy slaps, drags you around 2 decks away from where ya were, and then using the flamer still have to run through a rather over the top nest area and then the ending is just sorta. The following is a pick apart of the ending The outdoor areas are painfully slow and by outdoor i mean EVA, and i mean REAALLY slow. so either a hit box or detection issue on several areas makes it actually useless. So about the flamer, i've burned at a xeno, usually a couple clicks is enough to get it to sod off for a bit, and it not run away. and weapons here dont do ANYTHING cept the flamer to xenos, the flamer just makes it run off. i mean i get it, they couldn't let you just 12 gauge a xenomorph dead soon as you get the thing but the lore does confirm, a 12 gauge shell at point blank is generally enough to kill a xenomorph, 2 at short. The interface could've used a basic tweak here n there.Ĭombat was pointless. The side missions, unlockables, all derpy and over the top. the aesthetic for a station that was otherwise populated till just a week earlier, looked overly abandoned given the amount of peeps still on board. Pathing issues, certain areas were over used. and beleive me you can hear it enter vents, its not quiet. Having played the game before a bunch of patch drops i cant really give a full ideaīut there were a ton of bugs, teleporting xenomorph where it runs down 1 corridor not enter a vent and be in front of you. ![]()
